New property! Crescent Cottage offers the best of both worlds in Bath

20 February 2017

Bath is one of those unique places which offers both cosmopolitan city living combined with a healthy whiff of fresh countryside air and an abundance of greenery. Crescent Cottage, one of the newest Bath Holiday Rentals properties, embodies this city-country balance perfectly.

Country-style weekending in Bath

Flooded with natural light thanks to huge skylights and incredible bi-fold doors leading out onto a private courtyard, Crescent Cottage is the perfect place to spend a weekend. The three bed, two bath property is nestled at the end of a terrace in Widcombe, a gorgeously leafy area just outside of the city centre.

Crescent Cottage has the feel of a cosy bolt-hole in the countryside, with elegant, modern décor accented with charming details such as oak doors, sash windows and of course – Bath stone floors. Stepping outside onto the pretty terrace, you’ll also get a relaxing alfresco holiday vibe, especially if visiting with friends.

The cottage is far from small though, as it boasts no less than three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus the décor is light, airy and incredibly relaxing. The amount of space on offer makes it perfect for family getaways as well as social get-togethers, so why not grab some friends and escape to Bath for the weekend? There aren’t many properties located within walking distance to Bath that offer you the same space and countryside holiday feel.

A short walk to Bath centre

While you’re enjoying a glass of wine on the courtyard and listening to the birds in the trees, you may think that you’re a million miles away from a buzzing city centre. Amazingly though, Crescent Cottage is just a 15-minute stroll into the very heart of Bath via Widcombe parade which is lined with a couple great gastro pubs, deli’s, shops, burger bar, take away restaurants and a local supermarket.  You then head a few minutes over the foot bridge to the station and the start of town with all of its bars, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. You can reach the Thermae Bath Spa in minutes and best of all – the walk is downhill! Heading back up again, there’s a handy bus you can catch and the bus stop is right outside your doorstep.  Or do the ten minute walk up hill and justify that gorgeous dessert you had with your meal!

Things to do within easy reach

As well as strolling into Bath city centre, there are lots of other options for fun, sightseeing and adventures when you stay at the conveniently located Crescent Cottage. If you fancy getting out into the countryside proper, the cottage comes with a permit to park nearby on the street so it’s easy to hop in the car and explore the green hills, rolling fields and beautiful natural attractions surrounding the city.

On your very doorstep, there are attractions to tempt you including the tiny and historic parish church of St Thomas à Becket, as well as Widcombe Manor and the National Trust-owned Prior Park Gardens and its incredible Palladian bridge.

With so many things to see and do, you may need to spend more than a weekend at Crescent Cottage! Luckily, the property is available to book for a whole week if you really want to explore the area and immerse yourself in Bath living. Head over to the Crescent Cottage page for details.
