Bath Christmas Market
Thursday 23rd November to Sunday 10th December
The world-renowned Bath Christmas Market is back for another year, and it’s bigger and better than ever. Expect over 250 beautifully twinkling stalls and wooden chalets bursting with handmade gifts, artisan goods and stunning decorations. And of course, delicious treats for your festive table. The market is also the perfect place to get a steaming mug of mulled wine and a hot meal on those colder afternoons.
Check out the Bath Christmas Market website for opening times, the list of stallholders and the location map.
Sleeping Beauty at the Theatre Royal Bath
Thursday 7th December to Sunday 7th January
It wouldn’t be Christmas in Bath without a knee-slapping, rip-roaring pantomime over at the Theatre Royal Bath. This year it’s Sleeping Beauty, a hilarious musical extravaganza starring familiar faces from stage and screen. This includes West End and EastEnders actor Neil McDermott, Hollyoaks’ Sarah Jane Buckley and Bath favourite Jon Monie.
Bath on Ice at Royal Victoria Park
Friday 17th November to Wednesday 3rd January
Get your skates on and wrap up warm for Bath on Ice, which returns for its 11th year at the magnificent Royal Victoria Park. The ice rink will be lit up as usual with glowing lights, with a cosy Alpine Bar and seasonal drinks on hand for afterwards – or for any spectators not taking to the ice. Also part of this winter wonderland is Glow Golf, a light-up golf course suitable for both day and night use.
Enchanted Christmas Light Trail at Westonbirt Arboretum
Friday 24th November to Saturday 23rd December (selected dates)
The National Arboretum is just 40 minutes drive from Bath. Home to 2,500 species of trees from all over the world, it’s well worth a visit at any time of the year. But on those dark winter nights, something extra special happens at Westonbirt Arboretum.
From November to December, the forest comes alive with a dazzling light trail. Find your way through the trees and discover mesmerising light installations, along with sound and smoke effects. It’s an unforgettable experience.
12 Tales of a Georgian Christmas at No.1 Royal Crescent
Saturday 18th November to Sunday 31st December
