A glamorous storm grey living room with two richly embellished draped windows contains two decadent velvet sofas to seat 3 and 4, along with two deep armchairs facing a large fireplace with electric coal effect fire. Deep alcoves with cupboards either side have a TV, DVD, Bose Sound System and a selection of films and games. The Smart TV in the living room includes access to Amazon Prime and Netflix.

The chic grey kitchen has smart cabinets, smooth stone floors and sparkling white granite tops. Tall traditional style cabinets are stacked with crockery and cooking utensils and contain a large fridge and separate freezer, two large dishwasher drawers and lots of storage. In the cooking area is a large 5 ring gas hob, an electric oven and fitted microwave. An oak dining table seating 6 is in front of a tall shuttered window with a view of the deep green courtyard garden. WiFi, a radio, another i-pod player and telephone are all provided in this room.

An atmospheric garden room with lively bird and blossom wallpaper has an original decorative fireplace, two easy chairs and a sideboard. It leads out onto a pretty walled courtyard garden with wrought-iron table and chairs to seat 6. Leading down stairs is a bookcase with a selection of books.

At ground floor level is a plum coloured cloak-room with small hand-basin with storage under and a WC. A large fitted utility is situated in the basement through the 2nd bedroom. It has a washing machine and separate dryer and plenty of worktop space with a door leading into the small shaded courtyard.

The three double bedrooms are down thickly carpeted stairs lined with pictures. The spacious Master bedroom has rich green and cerise peony wallpaper behind the ornate 5’ king size bed. A velvet bedcover, richly embroidered window drapes and large mahogany chest of drawers all add to the grandeur. A large fitted wardrobe provides shelving and storage. There is a smart and spacious grey tiled en-suite shower room with a large corner shower (with rainfall shower head along with a hand-held unit), a stone topped vanity unit with hand-basin and a WC.

Another elegant double room on this floor decorated in eau-de-nil colours, has a 4’6’’ double bed, chest of drawers, large double wardrobe and easy chair. Two large windows look onto a basement courtyard. This room has a spacious traditional style bathroom also in eau-de-nil and white marble. There is a traditional claw-foot bath with shower over, hand-basin and WC with overhead storage.

Down a final flight of steps is a large twin room in green and plum colours, with pretty antiqued silver mirrors and a dressing table. Two single 3’ beds zip and link to become a 6’ super king bed. In the lobby just outside beside the stairs, is a small demi-wardrobe with a two drawers. Please note this room has a low ceiling.

Brock street links The Royal Crescent and The Circus. Both of which are the masterpiece of John Wood the Elder and one of the key reasons Bath was awarded the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is surrounded by interesting museums and galleries, great restaurants and bars, lovely shops and boutiques. Nearby are historic sites such as The Royal Crescent, The Assembly Rooms, The Roman Baths and The Bath Abbey. Around the corner is Margaret’s Buildings which is a quaint pedestrianized street with a couple great restaurants, galleries and lots of boutiques and shops. The Circus restaurant is also a few doors down from the property and is highly recommended. The high street is only a couple minutes’ walk away and there is a range of evening entertainment at the Theatre Royal, The Komedia comedy club, The Little Theatre Cinema or pampering at the Thermae Spa. You could coordinate your visit with one of the many festivals in music, literature and food or perhaps take a hot-air balloon flight from adjacent Victoria Park.

Leaving the Brock St house in the morning, we felt like locals - in the heart of Georgian Bath, between the Crescent and the Circus. The flat is the bottom three floors of a tastefully decorated, large, warm, Georgian terraced house. It’s self-contained so we were able to cook for ourselves. On-street parking with a Resident’s Permit meant our car was close by when we needed it, which wasn’t often as the sights are a close walk away. The BHR team were available by text or phone and well-organised. For example, we were able to drop our bags in the morning before the house had been cleaned from previous guests, which we were grateful for. Three sets of house keys was helpful for our diverse group. The house could have been improved, for us, with a coffee plunger and one more bedroom able to be set up with twin beds if needed.

“This is a stunning apartment in a Georgian townhouse, lovely rooms with a very welcoming feel. The location is unimprovable - we could walk to everywhere in minutes, and although it was a nice city street, it was very quiet. The parking permit was a big help. Everything at the apartment was just as you would want - beautiful big sitting room with comfortable furniture overlooking the street, then a kitchen with nice welcoming touches, an extra sitting space, and a patio garden outside with chairs and table. The two main bedrooms were on a basement floor, both had en suite bathrooms, and both were very light. There is another bedroom with two beds, which was very nice - the residents of this room need to use one of the others' en suite bathrooms, which was absolutely fine with our group but would need to be considered. (and of course this is clearly explained in the description). Although it is downstairs again, it still has some natural light. We really enjoyed cooking a meal and then eating in the kitchen (nicely-equipped) or eating outside or going to nearby restaurants, and we loved sitting for hours in the sitting room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, all the furniture linen and towels were very nicely done. Four of us were enjoying a long weekend in Bath, and I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay.”

We had a wonderful stay in Bath, thanks to this perfect home base for our time there. When I first entered the building, I was greeted by a shabby hallway with worn, dirty carpet. I thought, oh no! But fear not. That's just the common area of the building. A short walk down the hall and you come to the front door of the wonderful townhouse. Everything inside that door is wonderful, new, clean, everything you had hoped for and much more.

Thirteen-foot ceilings, beautiful crown moldings, wonderful, tasteful furnishings, everything is first class. If we'd stayed longer than 2 days, we would have enjoyed the amazing commercial-quality kitchen appliances more. There's a beautiful little garden out back where the smokers in our group spent much of their time.

Just a half-block away are great restaurants, one called Circus that's near "The Circus" housing ring, and one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever enjoyed, in the other direction, up a pedestrian street closed to cars. Wonderful shops along that street, and a great little cafe that serves delicious breakfasts.

One long-term parking spot comes with your reservation, and we were able to park right across the street from our townhouse. Our group had a second car, and we found a long-term public parking lot a short walk away, at 8 pounds/day.

We had planned to take the free city walking tour, but when we saw that Bath is quite hilly, we decided to take the hop-on/hop-off bus tour instead, and we enjoyed that. We found ATM cash machines and grocery stores just a few blocks away.

This was a wonderful, no-disappointments apartment. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

We had the most amazing weekend at Brock Street in June. There were 6 girls/women in our group and we were all very impressed with our accommodation. We were greeted by Marcus on arrival on the Friday who was friendly, polite and showed us the ropes for the property. There was a small welcome pack in the kitchen when we arrived, Wine and Chocolate is always a nice treat. The house itself was very well stocked of everything you require to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable. We spent most of our time in the kitchen when we were in as it was a great social area. We were just a small walk from the town centre, not even 5 minutes from all the bars, shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to spend time in Bath We had exceptional customer service from Bath Holiday rentals from start to finish, we would book through them again in a heart beat.

We had a 4 night stay prior to Easter. The House was perfect for our family of 2 teenage boys. Close to all the attractions in town and many restaurants, we never used our car during the stay. The Kitchen was well equipped and the living room very comfortable. Everybody slept well and the main bed was very comfortable. The basement room is very dark without lights and is a couple of flights of stairs from the upstairs toilet unless the occupants use 1 of the ensuites upstairs. But our 14 year old son managed a good 11 hours sleep in there when allowed so great for sleep! Bath has lots of excellent places to eat and nice things to do. The 12 or 18 hole pitch and putt is also great fun 10 mins walk away in Alexandria park to while away a few hrs once you've done the sights.

" I booked this apartment on the vrbo site and it met all of our expectations it was just as it showed on the photographs, excellent and roomy. We thought it might be a problem with the basement bedroom not having a toilet but it worked out fine. The fixtures and fittings were to a high standard and the location was excellent, it was so nice to walk out and be near to everything that Bath has to offer. I booked this apartment for 6 ladies to visit Bath for my Mum's birthday, it worked out perfectly.
It is in a great location and very tastefully decorated. All the rooms were very nicely decorated and it was lovely and clean and bright. The garden is very nice and its lovely to have the outside space. We parked opposite the apartment on the street and used the permit provided which worked great as its a city where you really do not need to use your car and you can walk everywhere from the apartment so easily. That really was a bonus for us! You can pick up the hop on hop off bus at the end of the street so its very convenient and there are some nice little shops and restaurants very close to the apartment too. I must recommend you try the Circus restaurant which is just 5 doors down from the apartment we had an excellent meal there and the staff were so friendly too. The only down side I could see with this property was its hard for elderly people to keep using all of the stairs to get to the bedrooms and for the basement bedroom it would be good if it had a toilet on the same floor but otherwise it was perfect. I would definitely return to this apartment we had a great time there. Thank you!
