Working in the city – 5 of the best places with Wi-Fi in Bath

9 April 2018

If you need to work or meet in Bath, one of the first things to look for is a place with good, reliable Wi-Fi. This doesn’t mean though that you can’t also have a fantastic coffee or a delicious lunch at the same time. In fact, Bath is known for its work-friendly cafes, eateries and coffee shops. Here’s our guide to just 5 of the best places with Wi-Fi in Bath:

  • Society Café

This is one of the best cafes to work in Bath, and it isn’t as busy as you may think. Located on bustling Kingsmead Square (right next door to our Hot Bath apartment), Society Café is actually a relaxed spot tailor-made for a quick meeting or hour or two’s work over a fabulous aeropress filter coffee.

  • Repack Espresso

If you’re looking for quiet places to work in Bath, where you can actually hear your colleagues and yourself think, head slightly out of town to Repack Espresso on Cork Place, Upper Bristol Road. This specialty coffee house is a great place to impress coffee-loving clients, plus there’s a choice of sandwiches, cakes and pasties. It’s a great place to work too, with good Wi-fi and atmosphere.

  • Colonna and Smalls

Head to Colonna and Small’s on Chapel Row for a trendy yet laid-back atmosphere and amazing lattes. It’s not the largest place in the world, but the coffee is fantastic and the Wi-Fi connection known amongst Bath’s remote workers to be very strong. It’s open from 8am, perfect if you need to get an hour in before hitting the office, and of course for your morning pick-me-up.

  • Hunter & Sons

Known as one of the best cafes in Bath and a firm favourite with locals, you’ll find Hunter & Sons on Milsom Place – just a few minutes’ walk past Bath Postal Museum from our Queen’s View apartment. It’s the place to get quality, expertly made coffee, and there’s ample space for working. Plug sockets are available, but not at every table. Hunter & Sons also has late opening times (up to 11pm on weekdays and Saturdays) for those on a deadline.

  • Forum Coffee House

On St James’s Parade, the Forum Coffee House is known as one of the best places for a meeting with Wi-Fi in Bath partly because there is so much space available. The Wi-Fi is decent and better still, there are a good amount of plug sockets available. As for refreshments, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to baked goods and pastries, but there are more substantial options available too for those who fancy a working lunch. Of course, the coffee is excellent and the Forum Coffee House also does a great range of non-caffeinated drinks.
