The good news is that you don’t have to travel far from your cosy Bath Holiday Rentals pad in the heart of the city centre. There are a number of fantastic farm shops near Bath that are quick and easy to travel to. We’ve rounded up just a handful of our favourites.

  • Newton Farm Foods

Close to Bath Spa University near Newton St Low, Newton Farm Shop offers a veritable bounty of incredible West Country foods. You can easily fill up several shopping bags with freshly baked bread, meats (including award-winning beef), vegetables and artisan goods including liqueurs and honey. You can also enjoy a fabulous lunch at the Parlour Café, serving up a range of hot food and sandwiches along with amazing views of the local countryside.

  • White Row Farm Shop

Drive just 20 minutes from the centre of the city to Beckington, near Frome, and you’ll find the White Row Farm Shop. This is one of the best farm shops close to Bath, famous for its ethos for making or growing its own produce or supporting other local producers. Here you can buy incredible locally reared pork, beautifully displayed vegetables and an amazing array of deli goods. Even better, White Row has its own fish and chip shop with fresh fish counter, serving up a delicious menu of hot food along with fresh seafood to take home.

  • Bath Farmers’ Market at Green Park Station

Don’t want to leave the city centre? No problem, simply pop along to the Bath Farmers’ Market at Green Park Station on a Saturday morning. If you’re staying next door at our Green Park Garden Apartment, it’s the perfect place to shop for locally sourced goodies for your stay. While not technically a farm shop, the market boasts a staggering selection of local producers selling the very best quality goods – including fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, baked goods and lots more. You simply can’t beat a bustling traditional marketplace on a Saturday morning!

  • Hartley Farm Shop and Café

Family-run for a whopping five generations, this farm shop is just a 20-minute drive from Bath city centre. It’s the perfect place to stock up on the very best local produce, including fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and artisan goods. It’s all produced with over a century of farming experience, and much of the produce is also sold in the charming Farm Kitchen café if you want to try out the quality before you buy. You’ll find the Hartley Farm Shop in Winsley, Bradford on Avon.
