Missed this summer’s Bath Vegan Festival? It’s back in November 2019!

27 August 2019

This July saw the return of the popular Bath Vegan Festival, featuring over 70 stalls, inspirational demos and some pretty incredible vegan food. It took place at the Bath Pavilion on Saturday 20th July, following a successful run of events in 2018.

If you missed this summer’s vegan-extravaganza, don’t worry. The organisers, Vegan Events UK, have announced another winter-themed version of the event in November, giving you another chance to get involved.

Where is Bath Vegan Festival?

The winter Vegan Festival will take place on Saturday 9th November 2019 at its usual home in the Bath Pavilion, a beautiful Edwardian period building in the centre of Bath. Built in 1910, this historic sandstone building has a huge auditorium – making it perfect for squeezing in all that tasty vegan grub.

Bath Pavilion is on North Parade Road, sandwiched between Bath Rugby and Bath Cricket clubs. It’s also just around the corner from a number of Bath Holiday Rentals properties including Avonleigh House, Johnstone on the Weir and many more. So lucky you if you’re staying nearby – you may even be able to smell all that gorgeous food from your window!

What’s on

The festival is the largest of its kind in Bath, boasting an impressive 70+ stalls of vegan street food, snacks, desserts, cakes and produce. Take your pick from vegan hot dogs, a Greek vegan deli, Chinese street food, specialist pies and much more. Chat to passionate organisations such as the Animal Justice Project and Miracle’s Mission, among many other charities and groups. You can even shop vegan skincare, toiletries, cosmetics, clothing, candles, crafts and gifts.

As well as tucking into all those free samples and enjoying a top plant-powered lunch, you can also enjoy inspirational talks, interactive workshops and live cookery demonstrations. Highlights include:

  • Unlocking the Secrets of Sourdough – a fascinating talk by sourdough expert, author and chef Sharon Roberts, complete with tasting of Sharon’s delicious homemade sourdough
  • Sport, Exercise and Avocados:  The Plant-Based Weekend Warrior – a talk from sports and exercise nutrition advisor Mark Stephens on how to fuel an active lifestyle with a plant-based diet.
  • Taking Yoga to a New Dimension – an absorbing yogic meditation workshop with Living Lightly’s Jenny Light.

There’s plenty for all the family to get stuck into at the second Bath Vegan Festival of 2019, including yoga, children’s activities and much more.

With so much going on, the festival does have a small charge for tickets. The good news is that you can get in for just £3 a person, with under 16s free of charge. Fancy the VIP experience? Pay just £15 and you’ll get advance VIP tickets, fast track entry, a goody bag bursting with fantastic vegan products and samples, and lots of discounts on the day.
