Bonfire Night in Bath 2017 – where to see the best show

16 October 2017

There’s not long to go now until Bath Bonfire Night 2017, so it’s time to start stocking up on warm woollies and planning your evening. We’ve put together a guide to help you find the best fireworks displays, bonfires, fairground fun and foodie festivities in the city. Here’s where to see the best show in Bath this year…

Light Up Lansdown at Bath Racecourse – Friday 3rd November

Kick off the Bath Bonfire Night weekend in style at Bath Racecourse, which is holding an evening of fire and fireworks from 5pm. Take your pick of bars and eateries, with mulled wine, toffee apples, pulled pork and other seasonal treats on offer, along with a funfair, face painting and circus for the kids (and big kids). The fireworks start at 7.30pm, and it’s looking set to be a spectacular evening.

Tickets cost from £5 per adult, £3 per child (under 5s go free) if booked in advance.

Bath Rotary Club – Saturday 4th November

From just £5 an adult, £3 a child, you’ll get front row access to one of the best Bath fireworks displays of the year. The Bath Rotary Club event is a favourite in the city, with hundreds turning out every year to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at the incredible lights and colours of its annual fireworks display.

The display starts at 7pm at the Recreation Ground, conveniently close to many Bath Holiday Rentals properties including The Mews, Edward St Apartment and our Vane Garden Flat.

Even better, the display is held in honour of Rotary charities. This year’s proceeds will go to the Bath Trauma Recovery Centre and Bath Focus Counselling.

Avon Valley – Saturday 4th November

Less than half an hour’s drive from Bath city centre is Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park, a unique place to watch the fireworks this year. Excitingly, the fireworks will be set to music, and the show starts from 7.15pm. However, there’s plenty to enjoy from when gates open at 5pm. Take the kids to enjoy the animal barn, the outdoor adventure playground and huge indoor play barn, as well as funfair rides and a choice of food and drink outlets.

Tickets start from just £3.50, so it’s a bit of a bargain!

Longleat Safari Park – Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th October

If you head a little further out of the city, you’ll find Longleat Safari Park around 45 minutes’ drive away. The park is hosting its own fireworks displays on three days at the end of October, all timed to start when the park closes. This means you can enjoy a great day out and round off your safari adventure with an epic fireworks show.

The fireworks will be set to music, with songs chosen to match Longleat’s Marvellous Monsters event celebrating creepy crawlies, bugs and beasties. Tickets are included with an Annual or All in One Day Pass.

Bath Fireworks 2017 is looking set to be truly spectacular, so don’t miss it! Book your Bonfire Night accommodation with Bath Holiday Rentals, with stunning apartments and houses located throughout the city centre.
