2022 is set to be a culture-packed year for Bath, with many exciting events already announced at some of the city’s best venues – including Bath Forum, the Royal Crescent and Komedia.

If you got a new calendar for Christmas and can’t wait to fill it, here’s our list of the best gigs and comedy shows to look out for in 2022:

Texas – 30th Anniversary of Southside

Bath Forum, 10th March 2022

To mark the 30th anniversary of their debut album Southside, one of Scotland’s most successful ever bands Texas is heading on tour. Sharleen Spiteri and partner-in-crime Johnny McElhone are heading to the Bath Forum in March to perform all the hits from Southside, plus tracks from their new album.  

Nish Kumar – Control

Bath Forum, 23rd March 2022

The Mash Report comedian Nish Kumar brings his new show Control to Bath in March, as part of a nationwide tour. Here’s how he describes it:

“It has been a period of upheaval and uncertainty with COVID and the political situation. You will be amazed by my capacity to somehow take all these things personally.”

Sarah Millican – Bobby Dazzler

Bath Forum, 67th April 2022

The hugely popular stand-up comedian Sarah Millican is hitting Bath for two nights, performing her new stand-up show as part of her sixth international show. 

Bobby Dazzler is classic Millican, featuring side-splitting tales including: “what happens when your mouth seals shut, how to throw poo over a wall, trying to lose weight but only losing the tip of your finger, a surprisingly funny smear test, and how truly awful a floatation tank can actually be”   

Dylan Moran – We Got This

Komedia, 5-6th May 2022

Head to the fabulous comedy and live music venue Komedia in May for two nights with the legendary comedian and actor Dylan Moran. The Black Books star and BAFTA winning standup is bringing his new show We Got This to Bath, and you can even book in for dinner at the venue first. 

Michael Bublé – Live At The Royal Crescent

The Royal Crescent, 15-16th July 2022

If you haven’t yet snapped up your tickets to the Bath gig of the year, you may struggle. The long-awaited open-air performances in front of the beautiful Royal Crescent by the Grammy-award winning megastar Michael Bublé were rescheduled due to Covid, but have now been confirmed for summer 2022.   

Joe Lycett – More, More More, How Do you Lycett? How Do You Lycett?

Bath Forum, 1-3rd September

Another tour, another pun-packed tour name – Joe Lycett is back in Bath for three dates at Bath Forum in September 2022. The TV comedian of the moment is back for his first tour in years, promising hilarious anecdotes, inappropriate jokes and some rather unusual artwork.   

Don McLean – 50th Anniversary of American Pie

Bath Forum, 16th September 2022

To celebrate an incredible 50 years of the global hit single American Pie, the iconic US Troubadour Don McLean is heading out on tour. He’ll be heading to Bath in September, performing all the hits including Vincent, Cryin, And I Love You So, Wonderful Baby and of course, his most famous single American Pie.
