A guide to the best Bath gigs in 2020

If your New Year’s Resolution is to get out and see more live bands, you’re in luck. We’ve rounded up all the details of the best Bath gigs of 2020, so you can start filling that calendar. 

Blossoms

Thursday 12th March – Bath Forum 

Stockport indie pop band Blossoms are coming to Bath this March with a brand new album – Foolish Loving Spaces, released at the end of January. The five-piece are supported at their Bath Forum gig by The Magic Gang and other special guests. 

Frank Turner

Friday 13th March – Bath Forum 

Join folk/punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner as he performs his unique concept album No Man’s Land, which was produced by 2018 Producer of the Year Catherine Marks. You can also look forward to support from special guests Micah Schnabel + Guise.

Kaiser Chiefs

Friday 5th June – Bath Racecourse

Buy a ticket for the Kaiser Chiefs at Bath Racecourse on 5th June and you’ll get a full day of racing included, topped off with an energetic performance from the Leeds indie rock legends. Now that sounds like a great day out. 

An Evening with Michael Bublé

Friday 24th July – The Royal Crescent 

Canadian singer-songwriter and megastar Michael Bublé performs an extra-special event this July, at The Royal Crescent. This won’t be like other Bath gigs in 2020, as it’s an open-air event on the lawns of these historic buildings. With the incredible Royal Crescent as a backdrop, an impressive back catalogue of hit songs and Bublé’s winning charm and vocal talents – this is a live music event not to be missed. Fingers crossed for lovely weather!

Go West & Paul Young 

Tuesday 22nd September – Bath Forum 

Two heavyweights of popular music come together at the Bath Forum in September, as Go West and Paul Young team up for an incredible UK tour. You can expect all the hits – from Young’s ‘Every Time You Go Away’ to Go West’s ‘We Close Our Eyes’ and ‘King of Wishful Thinking’. There are decades of nostalgic pop classics to choose from, so you’ll be in for a brilliant night!

Dionne Warwick

Wednesday 7th October – Bath Forum 

As part of her Farewell Tour, six-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick performs at the Bath Forum this October. The legendary singer promises she’s not retiring for good, but this may be one of your last chances to see her on stage. Warwick will be performing songs from across her hugely successful career, including ‘Walk on By’, ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’ and ‘I Say a Little Prayer’. 

Gabrielle 

Tuesday 1st December – Bath Forum 

If you’re planning ahead and filling your calendar with Bath music events for the whole year, make sure you snap up tickets for Gabrielle at the Bath Forum in December 2020. The popular British singer celebrates the 20th anniversary of her chart-topping album ‘Rise’, performing hits such as ‘Out of Reach’ and ‘Sunshine’ alongside other much-loved classics such as ‘Dreams’. 

Looking for more live music in Bath? 

Check out the fabulous alternative live music listings at Chapel Arts Centre (there’s always something exciting happening there) and snap up tickets for the Bath Festival Finale Weekend on 23rd-24th May. Headline acts such as UB40, McFly, Scouting for Girls and Billy Ocean are set to perform, with more still to be announced.
