It’s nearly summer in Bath, which can only mean one thing – food! The city’s venues and outdoor spaces come alive with a host of fabulous food and drink festivals every summer, and it’s fantastic to see them back for 2022 after a difficult few years for local hospitality. 

Here’s our roundup of the tastiest Bath food festivals in 2022:

Bath Vegan Festival

Bath Pavilion, 4th June 2022

This huge plant-based food festival promises an epic 80 stalls, so there’ll be plenty of choice! There’ll be a smorgasbord of vegan snacks, samples, street food and sweet treats to tuck into, so make sure you bring your appetite.

If you miss the event, there’ll be another Bath Vegan Festival held at the Pavilion on 26th November 2022. 

Pub in the Park Bath

Royal Victoria Park, 17th-19th June 2022

Arguably the best event of the summer, Pub in the Park Bath is helmed by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge and promises a star-studded lineup of some of the biggest names in food. 

Expect appearances by Simon Rimmer and Andi Oliver, plus live music from the likes of Supergrass, Natalie Imbruglia, Faithless and The Sugar Hill Gang. You’ll have the chance to try mouth-watering dishes from award-winning restaurants, including Kerridge’s own The Hand and Flowers. 

Smoked & Uncut 

The PIG in Pensford, 9th July 2022

Head just outside the city to Pensford (around a 20-minute drive from Bath city centre) for a live music and food party like no other. 

THE PIG’s annual festival is back in full force, with headliner Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on the main stage and a full choice of local ales, street food and locally sourced eats to get stuck into. This rather glamorous countryside festival also has feasting tickets available, offering multiple courses, fizz and wine along with the music. 

The Gin and Rum Festival Bath

Bath Pavilion, 19th-20th August 2022

If you love a G&T, get yourself a ticket to the largest Gin & Rum Festival in the UK when it arrives in Bath this August. There will be dozens of tipples to try at themed rum and gin bars, including specials from hand-picked guest distillers. 

You’ll also learn more about your favourite spirits at talks and masterclasses from local, national and even international gin and rum makers. And of course, there’ll be plenty of exquisite bottles to buy and take home. 

The Great Bath Feast

Milsom Street, 23rd-25th September 2022

Squeezing in at the very end of summer is the Great Bath Feast, a three-day celebration of fantastic food and drink right in the heart of the city. 

The event is organised in association with much-loved local business The Bertinet Kitchen, and aims to champion the best in South West produce. 

It all kicks off with a buzzing food market on Milsom Street, where you can snack and shop to your heart’s content. There’ll also be demonstrations from top local chefs, exciting pop-ups and even a Food & Drink Trail to follow. And if you’re still in Bath after the festival, look out for a series of curated fringe events taking place throughout October.
