Where to watch the rugby in Bath

As Bath is so rugby-mad, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to great pubs and venues to watch each game. Here are just three of our favourite sports bars in Bath, so take your pick!

  1. Belushi’s

This lively venue is one of the best sports bars in Bath. You won’t miss a single try with stunning HD multi-screen viewing and even a big HD projector for big matches – expect it to be up when England are playing. You can also book your own private booth and have a VIP sports experience at Belushi’s, with sharing platters, buckets of beer and a fantastic choice of drinks. VIP packages also give you your own TV, live commentary and plenty of other perks.

Find Belushi’s Bath on Green Street, not far from the world-famous Pulteney Bridge. On the other side of the bridge, you’ll find a choice of elegant, comfortable apartments – including Argyle Retreat, Pulteney Bridge View and Argyle Upon Avon

  1. Bath Brew House

This warm, welcoming ale house is showing the whole of the Rugby World Cup 2019, with each game screened on big TVs and even a projector screen. The pub is opening up early on RWC days, with lots of irresistible breakfast offers including ‘build your own baps’ with unlimited teas and coffees until 12pm. And, of course, the Bath Brew House is the home of some of the best craft beer and ale in the city, with many of the beers brewed in their very own microbrewery.

The Bath Brew House is on James Street, close to Green Park and the Kennet and Avon Canal. If you’re staying at our beautiful Green Park Garden Apartment – which sleeps 4, so you can bring the family or a group of friends – you’ll be right around the corner.

  1. The Canon

This popular hangout pub has two floors and two big screens, so you’re bound to find a great spot for watching the Rugby World Cup. You’ll enjoy great food, drink and a lively, sociable atmosphere, so your non-rugby-fan friends can hang out there too.  Make sure you book a table for England matches, as it’s bound to be popular!

The Canon is on Barton Street, not far from the Theatre Royal and Queen Square. It’s also just a minute’s stroll from our Queen’s View apartment, as well as the many other sports bars, restaurants and attractions of the city centre.
