Valley Fest 2020

Tickets for Valley Fest 2020 near Bath are now on sale – snap yours up!

16 September 2019

After another hugely successful Valley Fest earlier this summer, tickets for next year’s food and music festival are now on sale. If you fancy a delicious, musical weekend with friends and family in beautiful surroundings, better snap up your tickets soon!

Where is Valley Fest held?

Valley Fest is held next to an organic farm in Chew Magna, where you can camp on the banks of the breathtaking Chew Lake.

It’s billed as the ‘best tasting music festival in the south west’, with this year’s event seeing headline performances and DJ sets from Basement Jaxx, Razorlight, Leftfield, Tom Odell and many more.

Along with the music, the festival offers a delicious selection of locally sourced food. Take your pick from tapas, global foods, sweet and savoury treats and drinks. Many of the vendors use ingredients grown in the neighbouring Community Farm. You can even enjoy a full-on feast prepared by some of the best chefs in the South West, tucking into three to six courses on giant sharing boards.

Valley Fest 2020 will take place from 31st July to 2nd August. It promises more of the same big-name headliners, lip-smacking locally sourced food and family fun.

Can kids go to Valley Fest?

Children are more than welcome at Valley Fest. In addition to the top bands and artists on the Lake Stage and Second Stage, there’s plenty of other live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Highlights include:

  • Amazing family raves led by Junior Jungle
  • Planet Pretend, a fun and interactive experience full of singing, dancing and make believe
  • Pop-up theatrical entertainment in The Yard
  • Crafts (including making natural bird feeders) in the Round House
  • Community Farm Tours and Bee and Wildlife Walks at the Gathering Place
  • Interactive storytelling in the Hear Here spoken word and poetry tent
  • Family-friendly film screenings in The Flicks film tent.

Tickets, camping and glamping

Tickets for Valley Fest 2020 are available now. You can buy weekend tickets with camping (day tickets are not available) and reduced price options for teens and children. Babies go free! A Valley Fest parking pass costs £10, but the proceeds go to charity. It may seem a long way away, and the capacity of the festival has doubled in recent years, but tickets can still sell out quickly – so don’t delay if you want to go.

If you’re not a fan of ordinary camping, you can buy a campervan pass or book one of the lovely Valley Fest glamping options. These include pre-erected yurts, tipis and bell tents, all of which come with furnishings and comfy bedding.

Planning your trip

If you’ll be seeing the sights of beautiful Bath before heading off to the festival, you’ll find plenty of elegant city centre apartments available here at Bath Holiday Rentals. From any one of our central properties, it’s only around a 30-45 minute drive to Chew Magna and the festival grounds. You can have the best of both worlds – a city break and a fabulous festival and camping experience!
