Local Business Spotlight: Graham & Green

24 October 2018

For a taste of chic, diverse West London style right here in the heart of Bath, make a beeline for the city’s artisan quarter and the new Graham & Green Bath store.

This formerly London-only brand, which has shops in Primrose Hill, Bayswater and Notting Hill, was established in 1974. It’s a family run business, established by Antonia Graham and now run by Jamie, Lou and their son Max.

The family has now moved out of London and luckily for Bath residents and visitors, has made a former bakehouse on Walcot Street into its new headquarters – and Graham & Green’s only store outside of Bath. Speaking of the move on the company’s website, furniture designer Jamie says:

“We fell in love with Somerset’s picturesque landscape and Bath’s architecture. Being right in the heart of the city’s artisan quarter is perfect for us; we’re surrounded by inspirational independent businesses and interior design shops. It’s the perfect place to come for a weekend away; the whole city is brimming with good food, a creative atmosphere and endless design inspiration”.

What to expect at Graham & Green Bath

While strong family values form the backbone of the business, the brand is mainly known for one thing – style. The Graham & Green furniture specialists work with designers, artisans and crafters from all over the world, as well as supporting local industries.

Whether shopping in-store in Bath or on the Graham & Green website, you can browse exceptional quality, beautifully-made furniture and homewares. The product offering of home furniture, sofas and seating, lighting, mirrors, rugs and soft furnishings is unique, exquisite and very carefully curated, with many pieces not available anywhere else.

Why we love shopping in Bath

Bath is the ultimate shopping city, essentially due to the diversity on offer and the creativity of local makers, entrepreneurs and small businesses. It has all the High Street brands you could want in the SouthGate shopping centre, along with artisan and designer stores in Milsom Place. However, the city is also home to dozens of quirky boutiques, pop-ups, small creative businesses and independent high-end stores including Graham & Green Bath. There really is something for everyone.
