Love a Bath food festival? Tuck in at the Great Bath Feast 2017!

If you’re a fan of all things foodie, you’ll need to make a beeline for Bath right away as the Great Bath Feast 2017 is now underway.

What is the Bath Food Feast?

Not to be confused with the Bath & Bristol Food Festival which happens in summer, the Great Bath Feast is an annual event taking place across the entire city in dozens of different venues. Taking place in September and October, expect plenty of seasonal fayre and lovely autumnal ingredients, much of which will be grown locally.

The food festival officially started on 23rd September, but it runs all the way until 8th October. If you’re worried you’ve missed out, you’ll be delighted to know that there are still loads of delicious-sounding events to get involved with. Here’s a taster:

Bath Edible Adventures – Saturday 23rd September to Sunday 8th October

Like the sound of a moveable supper club? Join in this exclusive culinary adventure around Bath, which features a guided walk and a four-course dinner with some of the West Country’s best produce on the menu.

Beer and Pizza at Electric Beer Brewing Co – Friday 29th September

If you’re a pizza person who loves craft beer, do not miss the chance to quaff craft beer right from the source at Electric Brewing Co. There’ll be authentic wood-fired pizza to accompany the drinks, and plenty of like-minded company.

The Great Bath Persian Feast at Simi’s Kitchen – Saturday 30th September

If you’ve never tried Persian food, you’re missing out! Give your taste buds a treat at Simi’s Kitchen, where you’ll learn to cook and appreciate authentic delights from Persia and Azerbaijan. It’s an enjoyable and informal cookery course followed by a fabulous meal and plenty of sweet treats.

You’ll find Simi’s Kitchen on Great Pulteney Street – right next to many of our best properties here at Bath Holiday Rentals, such as Great Pulteney Garden Apartment, Georgian Gt Pulteney, Edward Garden Apartment and Edward Street Apartment. You’re spoilt for choice!

RC250 Afternoon Tea at the Royal Crescent Hotel

If you’re visiting the city for the Great Bath Feast, you must sit down for an afternoon tea – it’s one of the best things the city is famous for, after all! In celebration of 250 years of the Royal Crescent, the luxurious venue will be hosting a delicious afternoon tea practically every day during the Feast. It’s a new celebratory tea, so expect a modern twist on the classic menu.

Around the World in 80 Bites

Where is the Bath Food Feast at its very best? Some would argue that the finest cuisine in the city can be found at its markets, so make sure to visit Green Park Station’s exceptional international market. There are lots of venues taking part in this year’s event, but the Station – celebrating its 25th birthday this year – is where you’ll find a buzzing street party atmosphere along with internationally themed food stalls and dining experiences.

The best place to stay for easy access to Green Park Station is Monmouth Mews, just a short walk away.
