Property Details:

Renovated throughout in June 2008, this sophisticated and spacious apartment combines wonderful Georgian proportions with luxurious contemporary style. There are three smart bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and well furnished, two glamorous bathrooms, an elegant living room and stylish kitchen. Awarded 5 star for quality and service by the Tourist Board.

A grand entrance takes you across a large hallway laid with intricate mosaic patterns, up a broad staircase to this bright and airy first floor flat. All the rooms have very high ceilings, original deep cornicing and detailed ceiling roses with huge sash windows and working shutters and the light simply pours in from the front of the building beside the Royal Crescent and the back which overlooks Royal Victoria Park.



The first of the bedrooms is a spacious double, dressed in soothing sand and sea greens with warm oak furniture. The second is a twin room with plenty of wardrobe and storage space and the final master bedroom is magnificent with a king-size bed and handsome furnishings. The beds in all 3 rooms can be converted into twins or zipped together to make a superking size bed. Enormous double doors leads to the glamorous en-suite, tiled from top to toe in beautiful buff-coloured limestone. There is a large walk-in shower, hand-basin and wc. A further bathroom is similarly tiled and spacious with bath, large hand basin and wc.

The elegant living room is west facing and three large windows overlook well-tended gardens, allotments and the abundant trees of Royal Victoria Park where you can see hot air balloons take-off in fair weather. There are two large comfortable cream sofas (one of which is a sofa bed) beside a grand marble decorative fireplace and a couple of wing-backed leather armchairs. There is a flat-screen TV with Sky viewing and stereo with CD and radio. There is a fold-down dining table to seat 6 for formal dining.

Semi-concealed is a contemporary fitted kitchen with high stools for 6 clustered around a large sparkling black granite counter-top. There is a gas hob, electric oven, micro-wave, small dish-washer, large fridge and separate freezer. It is well-equipped so you can show-off your culinary skills with plenty of white china and gleaming cutlery for a convivial dinner party. There is a separate large utility cupboard neatly housing a washing machine, dryer, and other domestic necessities.

The property is located on Marlborough Buildings which is a handsome Georgian terrace beside the Royal Crescent. It is very close to the city centre and a lovely stroll through Royal Victoria Park. You are surrounded by historic architecture and a great array of museums, galleries, bars, restaurants and shops.

At the top of Marlborough Buildings is Marlborough Tavern, a gastro pub and the Approach Golf Course where you can play a compact 18 hole course whilst enjoying marvellous views of Bath and the surrounding countryside. Around the corner at St. James Square there are good local amenities; a newsagents, chemists, coffee shop, Italian deli, organic grocery store and florist.

At Margaret`s buildings, a pedestrianised street only a stone`s throw away, you will find several gorgeous boutiques and restaurants.





A parking permit is provided with this property allowing one car to park on either the street out front or on neighbouring streets within zone 7. Alternatively the bus and train stations are only a 15-20 minute walk away.
