Take your beloved to a pretty little palace in central Bath. It`s delightfully romantic, with lovely Georgian rooms full of old world charm, eclectic vintage furniture and warm Mediterranean hues. This charming one-bed roomed apartment on the ground floor is in a handsome Georgian terrace that sweeps majestically to the City centre. Everything in this beautiful world heritage city is close by and easy to explore on foot. Awarded 4 star gold by the British Tourist Board.All the rooms have classic Georgian proportions with high ceilings, ornate cornices and pretty ceiling roses. The living room is warm and inviting with a large window overlooking gardens, trees and stately bath stone terraces. There is a deep rose strewn sofa to seat 2 (this converts to a sofa-bed), another elegant sofa that seats 3 and an antique easy chair. All are gathered around a large fireplace with a decorative Victorian surround and a large mirror over.
A collection of framed prints hangs above a handsome desk with a large TV with DVD and a tall glass bookcase holds lots of literature and films.
The bedroom has two immense windows framed with lavish silk drapes. There is a pretty brass double bed and an ornate cream wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a whimsical collection of paintings.
The pretty bathroom has an antique marble washstand with bowl hand basin, a bath with elegant marble tiled surround, (with a shower over and a shower handset.) and a WC.
The smart granite and beech fitted kitchen captures the afternoon sun and has an antique dining table with 4 upholstered French style chairs. An alcove with shelves and a cupboard houses elegant tableware and pretty crockery. There is a gas hob, electric oven, a small fridge and separate freezer, a washing machine combined with dryer and plenty of cooking utensils.
Its lovely to be in the centre of Bath with all the choices of an elegant lively and cultured city within a 5 minute level stroll. There is a wonderful array of shops, restaurants, bars, museums, galleries, cinemas and theatres close at hand, including a Waitrose supermarket for everyday essentials. There are fascinating historic sites near by, such as the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the Pump Rooms, as well as the recently opened Thermae Spa where you can experience the healing, bubbling Bath spa waters for yourself. In the evening book a show at The Theatre Royal, The Komedia, or The Little Theatre Cinema. If you choose to do very little or embrace it all, it makes for a memorable time spent together.
A parking permit is available allowing you to park 1 car. Alternatively the Bath Spa train station is a 15 minute walk (or taxis available Tel. Abbey Taxis 01225 444444) with regular services from London Paddington and Bristol Temple Mead.
