This beautiful, spacious and elegant home with walled courtyard gardens has evolved from the original 18th century stables and hay-loft. A listed building with an interesting history, it has been substantially renovated by the owner in May 2007 who has combined many original features with treasured artefacts and luxurious contemporary fittings.

Behind the famous Lansdown Crescent you will discover a quiet lane which once provided the services for Georgian gentry. The sunny entrance hall has retained the original flagstone floors. There is a large and comfortable drawing room with an intricate iron and bath stone fireplace, expansive sofa, coffee tables and easy chairs, from where you can indulge in your favourite TV programmes, Sky or DVD. Further on, a white marble-topped kitchen with stripped white-wood flooring, leads into a large, convivial and atmospheric open-plan space which wonderfully combines cooking, dining and comfortable seating. There is also speakers for ipod connection.

The kitchen has plenty of practical marble work-top space, lots of glossy white cupboards, a great double fridge, dish-washer and pantry. A large range style gas hob and electric oven has good cooking implements to hand and with plenty of cookbooks to refer to, you can serve up a feast on a long dining table which seats up to 8. It is a 15 minute walk to Bath city centre, longer on the way back as you go uphill. The walk takes you past spectacular Georgian architecture, including Lansdown crescent, The Royal Crescent, and The Circus. Within 10 minutes is the extensive Royal Victoria Park which has an enormous children`s adventure play area, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, mini golf, and the 18 hole Approach golf course with spectacular views. Also within the 10 minute range is St James`s Square with a newsagent ,chemist, Italian delicatessen, coffee shop, organic green grocer and florist. In and around Bath City centre is a great array of restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, museums and historic landmarks. If you want to eat and drink closer to home, there`s the Grappa bar, a trendy wine bar and pizzeria on Lansdown road or the Farmhouse pub, a newly converted gastro pub.
